We hope you are having a wonderful summer and staying safe in and around water wherever you are. It has been lovely to see so many of you at our RapidTrack programme, and we are already gearing up for the beginning of the Autumn term in August. Please check out the link to our website for your start back date at your pool.
It has been a busy summer, and our teachers have been working hard both in and out of the pool. This summer, several of our SwimEasy teachers have supported different projects that offer various aquatic activities in Edinburgh. These included the Darcey Sunshine Foundation, Active Schools swimming, and Drowning Prevention Day 2024.
Exciting New Projects
The leadership team have also been working hard on a number of exciting new projects which will be rolling out in the next few months. Not least our unique and novel “Passport to Successful Teaching” which you will notice being introduced at the pools in a phased approach. This new teaching resource is designed to guide, inform and support weekly lesson planning. It also acts as a visual guide for the swimmers. The posters and pictures within the curriculum promote a consistent teaching approach while maintaining a focus on the individual needs of your child, differentiated lessons and teacher creativity.
Olympic Glory and RapidTrack
The swimming at the Paris Olympics got underway on 27th July. Swimming is a flagship sport at the modern Olympic Games and is again highly anticipated this year. Many of our former SwimEasys are involved in this year’s games (some competing, some coaching, and some officiating) so make sure to tune in and observe how the very best do it. It is no secret that our SwimEasy management team have competitive swimming backgrounds. We love the sport and are very proud to be “swimming people in business, as opposed to business people in swimming”.
Don’t forget to follow SwimEasy legend, sponsored athlete and ambassador Katie Shanahan who will be competing this summer in her first games. Follow Katie’s journey on her Instagram @katieshanahan and all the SwimEasy family wishes her the best. We are so proud to support Katie and Team GB!
RapidTrack
There are just two weeks to go for RapidTrack at George Watson’s. There are very limited spaces left to enrol in the RapidTrack programme this summer so if you want to secure your place, do so quickly before the new term. If you want some extra 1:1 and 1:2 unique sessions, get in there and watch your child progress at a rapid rate.
