Beginner

We are here to help you choose the correct Stage of Swimming Ability for your child.

This Beginner Stage is not to be confused with the Non Swimming Stages. SwimEasy teachers will expect that children being taught within the Beginner Stage will be able to use their feet to travel on their front and their back for 5 metres without using swimming aids such as arm rings/bands, be able to float and happily submerge. Teachers will apply minimum manipulation methods to teach your child to begin to learn the 4 swimming stokes.

Call our customer care team now and they will talk you through the benefits of choosing teachers to teach your child as a Beginner.

The Purpose of Attending

Unlike the average swimming lessons providers, at SwimEasy we are very technique focussed. This means that your child will learn the four recognised strokes in an exciting, structured, progressive manner, and to the highest standard.

During the Beginner stage, your child will build on the following skills:

• Build confidence and the foundations of a dive by performing jump entries into the water
• Introduce pushing off underwater
• Introduce kicking in a streamline position
• Start to travel up to 10 metres on front and back
• Introduce side breathing

Progression

At SwimEasy, we progress children as and when they are ready.

Did you know that swimmers who attend regularly and consistently will improve faster than those who don’t?

Did you know that children who practice out with the lessons will progress at a much quicker rate? Swimming, like any other skill, requires practice. Why not make it a fun day out and get your child to show you the skills they have been learning! After all, we believe children deserve recognition for their success.

Parental Help

We ask that you help us in delivering quality teaching for your child.

Our teachers love to spend as much time as possible with each class. Because of this, they love it when children come to the lessons with cap and goggles on and passport in hand, ready to start the lesson. To avoid minimum disruption to the lessons, we ask that children blow their noses and go to the toilet before the start of the lesson.
