Teacher Spotlight, Eilidh – Glasgow

I first started poolside helping from 14 years old when I was volunteering at my local swimming club. It was a great experience that solidified my passion for swimming and teaching. At 16, I went through my level one teaching course where I became a qualified instructor. Now, I’m a Progress Advisor in Glasgow where I’ve worked for two years. I love working at SwimEasy where I can interact with the parents and watch the kids grow and develop their skills.

SwimEasy is not just a job for me; it’s a community where I get to see the progress of each child, from their first splash to confident swimming. The joy and satisfaction I get from seeing their smiles and achievements are immeasurable. It’s rewarding to know that I’m playing a part in their growth and helping them build a lifelong skill. The support and camaraderie among the staff at SwimEasy make it an incredible place to work, and I feel fortunate to be a part of such a dedicated and passionate team.

When I’m not at the pool, I love spending my time off with my dog Milo. I also enjoy going out with friends, exploring new places, and trying out different activities. Balancing work and leisure helps me stay energised and focused, allowing me to give my best at SwimEasy every day.
